Beginning Wednesday, September 4, 2002, the
award-winning public radio series, The Infinite Mind, will broadcast
"Mental Health In Troubled Times," featuring three shows in as
many weeks that will examine the public's state of mind as shaped by the
September 11th attacks. In addition, the series will also cover the
ethics scandals involving corporations and the Catholic Church, as well
as people's changing relationships to work over the last year. The first show, "Terror, Trauma & Healing: One Year Later" will look at how Americans have coped with the aftermath of September 11th and the threat of future attacks. The second, "Ethics: A National Crisis of Conscience?" will examine how people and their trust in institutions or businesses have been affected, and the final show, "Work" will examine the public's new sense of priorities and the impact that changes in the economy have had over the past year. The Infinite Mind is carried by 200 radio station nationwide and hosted by former National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) Administrator Fred Goodwin, M.D., with commentary by John Hockenberry.
