Grief is difficult at any time of the year, especially on days that have held significance for you. Through his extensive
work as a grief counselor and clergyman, Dr. Miller has compiled “suggestions rather than...prescriptions” to help
people of all ages with the life adjustments that must be made.
With guidelines such as “Plan Ahead,” “Remember To Remember” and “Give Voice To Your Soul,” the book offers
that the holidays will be different, but they can still be meaningful.
In addition, Dr. Miller collects words of encouragement from such diverse notables as Helen Keller, Oscar Wilde
and Marcel Proust. This assuring, consoling work is an easy-to-read healing resource for what can be a difficult time of year.

A Perigee Book, Berkley Publishing Group.
This is a new book, based on the authors' research, and including responses from couples, both married and single. The book defines three primary attachment styles: secure, avoidant and ambivalent. A central part of the book is a questionnaire which helps couples recognize their "attachment style."
This knowledge theoretically allows a couple to increase understanding of their relationship, improve communication and reduce conflict. Based on a simplified version of Attachment Theory, and presented in an easy to read format, this is definitely a layman's book. Couple Fits features numerous examples of different attachment styles and interactive patterns between couples, all divided into easily referenced chapter headings. The headings are fun and to-the-point, and people can easily recognize themselves and their relationships.
Couple Fits may be helpful to couples who are struggling with understanding how they perceive and respond to the world and each other in such different ways.
