FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ’s)

Commonly Asked Marketing Questions for Clinical Practitioners

  • What is marketing?
At Provisions Consulting, we use the word Marketing to encompass the full range of activities you will utilize to let people know about your practice, your specialties, and increase visibility about your business. Marketing is the ability to put a face and name on your practice - to let people know about your practice.
  • What is Provisions Consulting?

We were incorporated in 1996 as a Marketing Firm to assist clinical professionals with all aspects of their business and marketing practice growth. Our services are designed to allow you to do what you love – psychotherapy – while maintaining your executive and administrative practice functions.

  • What does your company do for clinical practitioners?

We help clinicians make decisions, plan and implement their marketing tasks. We utilize marketing plans that best suit each individual practice. Our customized approach allows your active participation in the whole process of marketing your practice.

  • What is a marketing plan?

A marketing plan is a way to turn your ideas and dreams for your practice into tangible, realistic, achievable tasks. A marketing plan includes goals, action items to achieve those goals, timelines for completing the goals, and budget requirements.

The best marketing plans will give you enough flexibility to adapt the information you gather along the way. In addition, it will include short and long term goals. Finally, you can expect to recoup your initial investments in 24-36-months.

In short, it sets up your image, how you are going to promote yourself, how your going to attract or maintain clients, and fits with your overall business plan.

  • Why do I need a marketing plan?

It gives you a strategy and structure to accomplish your goals. Most importantly, it can help assure ongoing success and take away some of the "roller coaster" ride of client load and finances that can exist in private practice.

  • What areas should be included in a marketing plan?

The following components are included in all Provisions Consulting marketing plans:

Direct Mail

Public Relations

Electronic Communications / Internet

Database

Advertising

Business Image and Administration

Networking

Office Set Up or Expansion

  • How long should a marketing plan last?

A marketing plan should include short-term timelines, one month to 1 year, and longer-term time lines – as far as 5 years in the future. Although some prognosticating is necessary, a well-crafted plan will direct you toward your goals and objectives. It will keep you focused inwardly on your business development.

  • Why do you include the Internet for marketing?

Although we are on the cutting edge of Internet technology in the healthcare industry, the Internet can be a useful marketing option for clinical professionals. At Provisions Consulting we believe the Internet is a useful means of conveying information about your practice. It gives potential clients another means to learn of your services.

Internet sites can be easy and inexpensive to set up, but very expensive to maintain and drive traffic to your site – the main reason for having a site. We suggest you make sure you have a clear plan for the development of your web pages and a solid company who spends their advertising dollars to market your site.

  • What kinds of marketing can Provisions Consulting help with?

At Provisions Consulting we meet with you to determine which of our services may best work for your practice. You can visit our Marketing Services pages for a complete list of our offerings.

  • Who should use a marketing firm?

Whether you are just starting out or are an experienced clinical professional, considering using a marketing firm can be appropriate. The best way to determine if we could work for you would be to let us learn more about your practice needs and determine together if Provisions Consulting could be helpful.

  • How much does it cost?

We determine your cost based on your needs. Our services and products can be purchased individually or you might choose our Affiliate option. The Affiliate Status allows you to set a monthly budget and choose from a menu of services that best suit your practice needs.
