BIOGRAPHICAL
Tommy Miles received his Masters degree from the University of North Texas in Counselor Education. He has 7 years experience as a counselor in
inpatient, outpatient and transitional therapy and in a non-profit community agency. Tommy's vocational background was varied. He served a total of
7 years honorable in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Coast Guard. He has worked in manufacturing, sales and in various jobs. He has always been able
to talk with people from all walks of life. For 18 years, he has enjoyed meeting with others in recovery. As a therapist, Tommy is intuitive with an honest
direct approach. He has worked hard to gain insight into life's challenges and how to meet them effectively from personal experience, his work with
clients, education and learning from colleagues.
SERVICES
Chemical abuse or dependency counseling for individuals, groups and couples. Therapy for individuals and couples. Provide gay affirmative therapy
for gay and lesbian clients.
PROCESS OF THERAPY
In chemical dependency counseling, we would first complete an evaluation, then discuss the results, and together decide the goals of therapy.
Addictions counseling would be the same as above. We would seek to eliminate old patterns of reacting to emotional states, addictive patterns of
thought and behavior, and replace these patterns with effective solutions to the addictive cycle.
Tommy's therapy work with gays and lesbians would honor and affirm their sexual orientation.
The agreed upon goals of therapy could provide for a holistic approach. We could agree to work through behavioral, mental, spiritual and emotional
issues related to what brings you in for therapy.

Tommy is available Mondays and weekends for appointments.
